Our Second Year on the Inc. 5000: A Letter to Our Families

Dear friends,

For the second year in a row, Prepory made the Inc. 5000. This year we ranked number 6 among education companies, up from number 18 last year. Climbing twelve spots in a category this competitive says something specific about the year our team just had.

That climb traces back to a commitment we made years ago to build a lasting relationship with our families, not a single transaction. This year, we kept closing the gaps in that promise. We now stay with a family from middle school through doctoral and professional school admissions. We launched Sprout, a program for 8th graders who want to build the right habits before the process gets stressful. We expanded our offerings to include academic and career advising for current college students, so our support doesn’t end the day an acceptance letter arrives. We grew our graduate and professional school guidance for those same students when they return years later for medical school, law school, or a PhD. We also furthered our UCAS admissions support so families applying to universities in the UK get the same personalized guidance that built our name in the US.

In order to scale this work, we also needed to invest in the right tools behind them. It was important for us to build tools that continue to support our services, not replace them. That’s why we built Rory, our AI admissions assistant, to put our coaches’ expertise in front of students the moment they need it. We also launched a proprietary student platform that gives families a smoother experience while creating real efficiencies for our team. Neither one replaces the relationship between a student and their coach. Both make that relationship go further.

Ranking number six in our industry is only one way to measure this growth. The truer measure is every family who trusted us with their student’s story this year, from 8th grade to a first acceptance letter, through a first year of professional school and beyond. That number holds the trust of thousands of families and dozens of school and institutional partners who chose us this year, and the work our coaches and advisors put in every day to earn it.
