Meet the Coaches
Meet the Prepory College Admissions Coaches
At Prepory, we offer top-quality college admissions counseling services, and we’re proud to have a team of college admissions coaches who is uniquely qualified to help you or your student receive admission to their dream schools. At Prepory, our greatest strength is our team.
Our commitment to delivering premier college counseling begins during the hiring process. We’re extremely selective when we hire college admissions coaches. As we evaluate candidates, we look for a few things: we want people who are accomplished, outgoing, and determined to help students meet their goals.
Our “near-peer” mentorship model of counseling means that all our college admissions coaches are highly-educated current undergraduate or graduate students at top colleges and universities in the U.S., such as Cornell, University of Chicago, and UCLA. Our college admissions coaches are active members of their academic communities. Many have founded campus clubs or obtained world-class scholarships and awards.
After graduation and their work with Prepory, many of our college admissions coaches go on to earn employment offers from renowned companies like Oracle, Deutsche Bank, and IBM. Other coaches have earned offers of admission at the nation’s most selective graduate or professional programs such as Harvard Medical School, UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, and Columbia University School of Journalism.

Angel is a second-year studying Economics at the University of Chicago. He is Venezuelan but went to high school in Miami, FL. At UChicago, you will always find him either studying, doing research, or participating in some sort of sporting activity–intramural soccer, skating next to the lake, working out, or playing pool (which he strongly believes is a sport.) He is extremely excited to join Prepory in hopes of helping other students get the guidance that he received from Prepory as a student two years ago.

Learn more about how Prepory’s relatable yet expertly trained college admissions coaches can help you.
Top-quality training and education
To begin their training, each of our college admissions coaches is required to complete a comprehensive college admissions training course created in-house by our Prepory team and former admissions officers from University of Chicago and University of Pennsylvania. This course covers every aspect of college admissions – from how to properly edit a college essay and negotiate financial aid packages to understanding the perception of extracurriculars during the admissions process.
While all of our college admissions coaches are current college students or recent grads who have fresh memories of their own admissions processes, this course ensures our services are methodical and data driven. This course also helps bring them up to speed on the current best practices in the admissions industry and prepares them to offer the best possible assistance for you.
Additionally, we require hours of live training with members of our HQ team to discuss niche topics and concerns unique to the admissions process. Finally, college admissions coaches participate in ongoing training sessions throughout the school year to ensure they’re always up-to-date on the latest information. Our college admissions coaches are also required to meet with members of HQ to review curriculum guides and get the latest college admissions information.
